Holy Spirit

Our Lord Jesus Christ suffered and died to secure for His people the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. Like the Father and the Son, the Holy Spirit is present throughout the entirety of the universe (Ps. 139:7), He is all-seeing (John 16:13), and He is eternal (Heb. 9:14). He was involved in the creation of the universe, doing what only God can do—bringing into existence all that exists out of nothing (Gen. 1:1-2; Ps. 104:30). So He is fully God. And like the Father and the Son, He is a Person: He has a will (1 Cor. 12:11), He has knowledge (Rom. 8:27; 1 Cor. 2:11), and He has an emotional life (Eph. 4:30).
