The March 16, 2025 fire at the Pulse nightclub in Kočani killed 63 people and injured 223. In January 2026, prosecutors filed an indictment against 13 police officers following a wider investigation involving 27 officers. Families and communities continue to live with the loss, while the legal process has kept questions of safety, enforcement, corruption, and institutional responsibility before the public.
